All vehicles entering this competition are subject to a full & thorough inspection based on regulations for the class entered and the following rules. If you are found to be illegal during the inspection, you will be given 15 minutes to correct the issues or you will be disqualified from the event.
1. Drivers must be at least 16 years old with a valid driver's license. All drivers under the age of 18 will be considered MINORS and MUST have a release form signed by their parent or guardian prior to the start of the event. All drivers and pit crews MUST sign a release form stating that they understand that they are competing at their own risk, and that they will not birng suit against any officials, promoters, employees, sponsors, and/or property owners. By signing the release you also agree to abide by all of the following rules.
2. Registration closes one hour before the event is scheduled to start, unless other arangements have been made. (ie you have someone on-site that can register for you if you are stuck in traffic, etc.)
3. All drivers MUST attend a MANDATORY driver's meeting scheduled at approximately 3:45 PM. A member of the pit crew may stand in for the driver if he/she is running behind schedule.
4. A vehicle CANNOT be registed after the driver's meeting unless approved by the track officials.
5. Competition vehicles must be operated in a safe manner at al times within the confines of the track, pit area, * staging area. Track officials have the right to stop & disqualify any vehicle being operated in an unsafe manner. Pit & staging areas have a speed limit of 5 MPH.
6. At any time the copetition vehicle's engine is running, the driver or a member of the pit crew MUST be seated in the driver's seat. NO EXCEPTIONS, AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION!
7. Only the driver or a member of the pit crew will be allowed in the competition vehicle while it is being towed or driven while in the pit area, stagin lanes, or on the track. ABSOLUTELY NO PASSENGERS DURING THE EVENT!
8. ONLY track officials will be allowed trackside during competition. Only one member of the pit crew may accompany the driver to the start line to check for locked hubs, etc. After the driver pulls to the start line, the pit crew member MUST leave the start line area. NO EXCEPTIONS, MAY LEAD TO DISQUALIFICATION!
9. All competitors must drive the competition vehicle to the start line under it's own power.
10. Driver mustwait for the green start light before starting their run. Leaving the start line before a green light is given will be an AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION. NO EXCEPTIONS.
11. Competition vehicle must stop immediately when track officials have deem that forward momentum has ceased. A track official will blow an air horn several times to let you know that you have stopped moving. Failure to stop will result in NO SCORE for that run.
12. If any vehicle or driver is disqualified for any reason, there will be no refund of entry fee.
13. The competition director and/or track officials may disqualify a competitor for emotional or physical reasons. Examples of this would inlude, but are not limited to reckless behavior, use of drugs, or consumption of alcohol. Any driver or member of his/her pit crew consuming any intoxicating agent and/or drugs prior to or during the event will be disqualified from the event. DRIVERS WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACTIONS OF THEIR PIT CREW MEMBERS!
14. No one, at any time, will be allowed to verbally or physically abuse any Spring Creek Off Road Volunteer, other competitors or their pit crews, or any spectators. Doing so will result in any automatic disqualification and your team will be asked to leave the park.
15. Vehicles must have easily accesible front and rear frame attached recovery points. All recovery points must be secured to the vehicle so as to have enough strenght to tow the vehicle from the mud bog pit without breakage. If the recovery points fail during extraction, the driver is responsible for reattaching the pull out cable to a suitable place on the frame of the vehicle.
16. The competition director, track officials, and Spring Creek Off Road volunteers will have the option to check any copetitor for rules violations at any time during the event.
17. The competition director reserves the right to change any safety rules he deems necessary.
18. Tech directors will have the FINAL decision on all vehicle classifications.
19. Wall riding will not be allowed and will be grounds for AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION!
